Privacy policy
Tiny Record Player is made by Thomas Jones. It collects no personal data.
What the app does with your music
With your permission, the app reads the albums saved in your Apple Music library, on your phone, to show them as records on a shelf and to play them through Apple’s music player. That information stays on your phone. The app has no servers of its own and sends nothing to us.
When you search Apple Music or add an album, the app talks to Apple’s Apple Music service directly, under Apple’s privacy policy. When a record will not play because you have no Apple Music subscription, the app can show Apple’s own subscription offer; that offer is Apple’s, and we see nothing of it.
What stays on your phone
- Your settings: the shelf order, whether singles are shown, whether the next record plays, and which records you have taken off the shelf.
- A small cache of album artwork and the record spines made from it, so the shelf appears quickly. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
What we do not do
- No account, no sign-in.
- No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no tracking of any kind.
- No data sold, shared or transferred. Nothing leaves your phone except your own requests to Apple Music.
Children
The app has no content of its own and no way to communicate with anyone. What plays is governed by your Apple Music and Screen Time settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear at this address with a new effective date.
